Sometimes you don't realize how much kids really learn. For example, at our family camping trip a few weeks back, Taylor taught Brayden how to "use the bathroom" in the great outdoors.

Brayden had his friend, Memphis over to play one afternoon. The boys were happily playing in the backyard while I watched. Kylee started to wake up, so I went in the house to get her. After changing her diaper, I headed back outside. I found Memphis with his pants around his ankles, standing at the edge of the back porch and relieving his bladder onto my lawn. I reacted with my "I-want-you-to-stop-what-you-are-doing-but-you-are-not-my-child-so-
I-don't-want -to-sound-too-mean" voice and said "Memphis, what are you doing?!"

This, of course, caught Brayden's attention and he said, quite sternly, "Memphis, we only pee on trees."

Congratulations Taylor, lesson well received.
