Brayden lost his first tooth on Mon Aug 18 2008. He was so excited, I thought it was Christmas. At school, the kids get to write their name on a paper tooth when they lose a tooth--Brayden's is the first name of his whole class to be on the tooth.
Speaking of school, Brayden's teacher asked me to be homeroom mom again (he has the same teacher as last year). I was going to say no, but the other homeroom mom is my good friend, Jacque Bingham. So, I decided to say yes and here I am again as homeroom mom. I was feeling a little sad until back to school night when I realized there are at least 2 or 3 other excellent choices for homeroom mom and then I felt honored that she asked me. At any rate, because this class has so many volunteers, I won't be at the school nearly as often as last year, so it will probably be a good balance.

The tooth. Dun Dun Dunnn...

The Dollar. Wahoo!

Kylee is having an extremely difficult time adjusting to Brayden being gone all day. So, I'm trying to keep her busy. We went to the aquarium with Lily and Jacque where the girls played on the crocodile. It's a good thing they have diapers--that thing is uncomfortable!

The sting rays were jumpy.

Playing at the park after school. We are having a mini return of summer with the weather.

Last summer, we painted the outside of our house. This year, the project is the inside. Painting takes forever! We painted all afternoon on Friday and then another 8 hours or so on Saturday and we have only done the living room, entry way, Brayden's room and part of the hall. That means we still have Kylee's room, our room, the kitchen and the other part of the hall. There is no way that is happening on Monday. We are shooting for the kitchen and the rest of the hall. Painting is a pain. I don't like it. At all.

Rollers work best, but there are a lot of places, especially near the top and bottom of the wall that require a brush. I think we are doing too good of a job--we should speed it up and just be done!
