Brayden was really excited for his first day of school. We got lucky and he has the same teacher as last year, Mrs. Timmons. She is a great teacher and the familiar face helps ease the transition from half-day pre-K at a small facility to full day Kindergarten at the main campus.

Kindergarten
It happened. I have a kindergartener. When did I get so old?

There was so much traffic the first day, I had to park on the grass. Turns out there is a TON of traffic every day. The city sends a cop over to direct traffic when school gets out. What a big kid, I am really proud of him (yes, I know actually going to kindergarten isn't unique, but I am still proud of what a good kid he is.)
His class waits outside the door and reads books until it is time to go into the classroom.
Kylee was devastated. Completely devastated. All day long I heard "Brother?, Brother?" and "Go, Go? Brayden?" It was especially bad after her nap because typically, if Brayden is gone before nap time, we pick him up right after. I would have called some friends, but, unfortunately, she got sick with a 24 hour bug while Brayden was at his first day. Quite the emotional day for all of us.
