An excellent turkey day

The day started out with rain--the first weather of any kind other than sunny we've had so far! I loved it. Rain sounds different on the roof tops here. Our roofs are some kind of clay/tile, rather than typical shingles, which make for a nice sound. Unfortunately, yesterday, they started building in the subdivision behind our house. There goes the perfect view. Oh well.

We had thanksgiving at the Bybee's. Here is Ricki, Ron, two people I can't remember the names of, Becca, Aaron, Sarah, Paul, Taylor,
and me!

Dinner was delicious and then we sat around and talked. Taylor and I brought 4 pumpkins pies, a chocolate pie, a banana cream pie, and two boxes of (store-bought) cookies.

Alyssa, the Bybee's oldest, enjoying some extra potatoes. These potatoes had cream cheese, sour cream, chicken broth, garlic, and season salt mixed in with them. Unbelievably good.

Nacho.

The Bybees, apparantly, quote Nacho Libre like some people quote Napolean Dynamite. When they found out we had never seen it, they sponsored a "Nacho" night. They invited a few families from church over to eat Nachos and watch the show.

Nacho: Chancho. When you are a man, sometimes you wear stretchy pants in your room. It's for fun.

I'm so glad you had a fun place for a dinner! And wasn't Nacho Libre funny? "I get to wake up at 5 am and make soup, it's the BEST. I get to sleep all alone all of my life. Its FANTASTIC!" Ha ha ha
