Easter Weekend started on Saturday with a ward Easter activity.

First, the kids hunted eggs. They put a ten egg limit on the number you could find. Brayden could only find eight for a while, but then found two really hard ones. He even had to ask an older boy to climb a tree to get one down. His persistence paid off because one of his eggs had a gold coin in it which entitled him to a special prize. I think it was more treats. (yea.)

Kylee and dad.

It was super windy, as it often is in New Mexico. Kylee didn't care for the weather at all.

But Brayden had an awesome time flying his kite. His was the only one that would stay up--it was just too windy.

Eventually, the guys tied a tarp to the side of the pavilion, which actually helped keep the wind away from lunch.

Easter treats ready to go. Thank you to everyone who sent some goodies for the kids. We waited and put it all in their baskets.

They loved it

Grandma Faber sent these goggle glasses

and the kids can't wait to wear them on the big, big boat!

We went to the Parks for dinner and I was in charge of dessert. It was a chocolate cake with Oreo cheesecake filling covered with chocolate rather than frosting. It was sooo good! And it turned out to look pretty, too. My VTers dropped by Easter flowers, which was awesome.

Hunting at the Park's

Brayden was especially exited because they had "money eggs" with real money inside.

As usual, Kylee just wanted candy, candy, and more candy.

Treats that came in the mail. Thanks Grandpa Dickerson and Grandma and Grandpa Great!

The End.

What a fun easter! That cake looked gorgeous Jasmine. I want to copy. On our trip to Moab we had a lot of that "fun" wind, I feel for you!
Your cake looks SOO good!! I want to get that recipe. It looks like you had a fun Easter. I can't believe how long Kylee's hair is getting. Ella asks to drive by your house all the time so that she will remember Brayden. We think about you guys all the time. Infact on Sunday we were just laughing about the time that Taylor couldn't figure our why your tree that was mysteriously dying the backyard. We hope you guys are doing good :)
