Brayden on his last day of school. The kids aren't allowed to take backpacks on the last day, due to security reasons.

Brayden's awesome bus driver, Mrs. Farmer. She know the names of every kid on the bus and can tell you if they rode that day. She also knows the parents and which ones wait for their kids to get off the bus. One time, she was a bit early and called me from her cell phone to let me know that she was dropping Brayden off.

Brayden's teacher, Mrs. Morehead. If I am being honest, I had my doubts about Mrs. Morehead when we first moved here. She is very different than Brayden's previsous teacher, whom we loved. But, as the year progressed and she got to know Brayden, she turned out to be a really good match. In Brayden's school, parents are not allowed to make requests for teachers and talking to the principle will get you no where. But, teachers can make recommendations for the next year. Mrs. Morehead helped us place Brayden in Mrs. Schueller's first grade class. Her class is the one with the advanced reading group (as close as we get to a "gifted" program here), so we are hopeful that it will be a good match again.
