McDonald's, Mom's, and Markers

Brayden had his first cavity and on the 7th, he had it filled. I let him choose whether he wanted to go to school that day or stay home. He chose to stay home. I had a sitter for Kylee and the dentist said he could eat soft foods, so he and I stopped at McDonalds for a pancakes, eggs, biscut and sausage breakfast. The sausage maybe wasn't "soft," but he chewed it on the "other" side. Brayden now firmly believe that McDonald's makes the BEST breakfast ever. I must admit, its been a while fore me, and I liked it, too.

My Mother's day breakfast. Mother's day was nice and relaxing. Although, I feel I must mention it is the first time I've gone to church and none of the sacrament meeting speakers, the sunday school teacher (not my week) or the relief society teacher talked about mothers on mother's day (although our relief society president did comment on the wonderful mother's day presentation. I wonder if she was there?) I personally found it a bit odd, and I particularly missed the primary kids singing. The young men did hand chocolate bars out on our way out of the chapel, which on the list of church Mother's day gifts, that is at the top.

The most ironic part is that the week following was ward conference and the stake president came into relief society and asked "Do you know why we have a whole sacrament meeting focused on mothers for Mother's day?" And then he talked about mothers. I had to laugh to myself because in our ward, we didn't.
Kylee made a really cute hand print in nursery.
And Brayden made me a modern art sculpture in school.

In the evening, we went to the Bybee senior's for a waffle dinner. It was really nice not to have to cook or clean and nice of them to think of us.
