Back in Oklahoma

We are back in Jenks! It has been a crazy couple of weeks and I did an abysmal job of taking pictures--now that we are here and nearly unpacked I plan to renew my picture-taking efforts. My Grandparents (Faber) came to Las Cruces the Tuesday before we moved and on Wednesday, flew the kids to Utah. Brayden and Kylee stayed the night with their great grandparents and then went to Provo for almost a week. On Tuesday, the 11th, my mom flew the kids to Tulsa. My sister and mom are e-mailing pictures--I'll post them soon.

THANK YOU!! to everyone who helped with my kids during the week. Anyone who knows me knows I am a little over-protective of my kids and I was very nervous to have them gone for a long time, not to mention being worried about the people who had to travel with those two :)

Thank you also to those friends in Las Cruces to helped out by entertaining our kids, bringing over dinner, helping to clean, stopping by to say good-bye, and putting us up for the night before we left. I really appreciated the support and kindness shown to our family.

While the kids were gone Taylor and I packed and cleaned. Taylor's Dad flew out to help us load the truck and to drive the U-haul. We made the trip in a day and it was great to travel without the kids.

It has been an odd, but awesome feeling to be back in Jenks. I was a little nervous to go to church on the first Sunday because I didn't know what the response would be. It felt just like going home. Some of our best friends in the whole world live here and it's good to be near them again. It is great to be around the corner from Taylor's sister and husband and to be near Taylor's dad as he plans to re-marry in a couple weeks.

Getting Brayden into school has been a little crazy, but hopefully, things will settle down. Brayden tried riding the bus on the second day--but it didn't work out. More in a later post.
Brayden on his first day of 1st grade. His teacher is Mrs. McGuire and so far, she seems very nice. He has three "Brayden"s and a Jayden in his class.

It has been so great for Taylor to have some time off work. He recently got out some of his own legos for the kids to play with and they love them!

Kylee likes the little lego people the best. Here she is showing off their helmets.

Brayden being a little silly as he builds a "huge car."

Super Saturday was this last Saturday and this is one of the things I made. Kylee likes it--yea! I also got my first lesson in bow making and made a quiet bag for the kids to play with at church. It was good to spend some time getting re-aquainted with the ladies!

Our first game night since we got back!
