Kylee and Brayden both can earn a small allowance each week for good behavior and doing their chores. This has worked out well for us, in most cases.

During a recent trip to WalMart, Kylee saw the finger nail polish and declared that she wanted her own paint like mommy's (at the time her nails were already painted by mommy with mommy's nail polish.)

Of course, my first response, was "no." After a few exchanges, Kylee said that she was willing to give me one money and one dollar out of her piggy bank if she could buy the pain. Excuse the type-o, I mean paint.

As you can see, she won the argument. After all, what good is my incentive system if the kids can't occasionally buy what they want with their rewards.

She ended up doing a pretty good job, and after a few baths, the paint on the fingers (not the nails) had come off. She was quite proud of herself and was contained enough that I will let her "paint" again. Deep down, I love having a little princess. Someday she won't want to be like mommy at all, but right now, it feels nice.
