This week

Our good friend, Barbara George had the kids over to pick a few things out of her garden. The kids had a great time, Kylee's favorite was eating the raspberries right off the bush.

Sister George is a professionally trained seamstress and former wedding gown maker. She is now starting a baby blessing gown business. While she is getting started, her prices are lower than they typically will be in the future, so if you have need of a blessing gown, check out blessedmemoriesinc.com. She really does exquisite work.

My brother-in-law, Josh, teaches early morning seminary (Go Josh!) On Friday night, they had a seminary activity "Are you smarter than a 6 year old?" Brayden got to be the six year old. Guess what? He beat an entire team of seminary kids! The three questions he won with: Name the four sons of Mosiah, Name the lawyer that persecuted Alma and Almulek, but then became righteous, and Name the man who taught wicked things and was ... at which point Brayden yelled out Korhior and happened to be right.

However, the seminary kids may have had the last laugh becuase they accused Josh of not being a good teacher if he didn't teach them well enough to beat a 6 year old. :) We stayed and played some other games after, it was a fun night.

On Monday when Taylor was off work, we took a quick trip to Sam's club

and stopped for a bite of pizza.

We also made a quick and non-eventful trip to the mall.

We were in the area because we met our friends, the Childresses for an afternoon at the movies. We finally saw "UP," which wasn't my favorite Pixar flick by a long shot. But, Brayden had fun with Jonah and Kylee made it through the whole thing.

Brayden started soccer practice this week and has his first game a week from yesterday. He, Jonah and Lydia (also from church) are on the same team. So far, it seems like it will be a good season and I really like their coach.

For part of our primary lesson, we had the kids draw pictures of themselves and then we put them in page protectors. We talked about things that can make us "spotted" and drew on the page protectors and then talked about repentance. The pictures were taken out of the page protectors and they were clean again. Anyway, I thought it very interesting what the kids came up with. Taylor and I also did some self portraits.

I just have to say that I don't think Mary would have known those answers, so way to go Brayden! I sure miss Sis. George's garden! And we miss y'all too!
