Week in Review

For Family Home evening this week we went out for Frozen Yogurt and played UNO at the yogurt shop.

Kylee had to get tubes in her ears this week. Taylor was able to take half a day off work to take her in for the procedure, which I was very grateful for.

Kylee was given this little Teddy Bear at the hospital. The crazy thing was--Taylor had to sign a form stating he understood the bear's eyes were made of glass. You know the world is sue happy when you have to sign a waiver for a stuffed animal.

Kylee was so excited about all the "doctor" stuff she got to keep. She got to keep her "doctor bear, doctor back pack, and doctor socks." On the way out, she asked "Dad, what about my doctor bed?" Taylor said the doctor bed stayed there and she responded, "It's OK, someone else can have a turn with my doctor bed."

On Saturday, Brayden and I had the chance to do a service project for the Salvation Army. We packed holiday baskets full of food for those in need. We were in the canned goods section. There were HUGE boxes of canned goods that the kids sat on. As other volunteers passed by with baskets, they tossed canned goods in.

Memphis, Brayden, Kyle, Tyler, Christian during break time.

We were there for about two and a half hours. In the first hour we packed over 1,000 baskets.

Taylor had his Christmas party at work (this is the first place he has ever worked that didn't invite spouses to the Christmas party. What's the deal with that!?) The party was on the 60th floor--this is a picture of all the buttons in the elevator.

When we moved in there was some junk in the attic that never got cleared away. One thing was an artificial Christmas tree which Taylor set up at his office. This week we started giving away our neighborhood gifts and we even had the chance to go Christmas caroling. And last Sunday, we watched the Christmas devotional with Haylee and Josh. We have been enjoying the season.
