Primary "Tell Me the Stories of Jesus"

We had a primary activity on Saturday. We started with balloons in the cultural hall. I drew stars on the balloons and let the kids play with them for the first ten minutes as everyone arrived. Kid's don't need instructions on what to do with a room full of balloons. Once we got everyone calmed down we talked briefly about the star that appear at Christ's birth.

The kids divided into two groups-- one group did an activity about the Miracles of Jesus and the other about the Parables of Jesus. Then the two group switched.

For the third group, everyone got together and we talked about Jesus teaching in the temple and also cleansing the temple.

We then made temples out of sugar cubes.

For the last group, we put blue blankets on the ground and let the kids pretend they were in boats on the Sea of Galilee. I had lines on the wall for seven feet and ten feet and we talked about how the waves can reach that high in a storm. We talked about the story of Jesus calming the water. We then watched a short video of Jesus feeding the 5,000 and had Swedish Fish and rolls for refreshments.
