If you have watched the news over the last few weeks, you know that several violent tornados have destroyed towns and taken lives. Conditions were just right in Northeastern Oklahoma for the same type of storm, so we got ready to hunker down. Because Shelly is here, we have an extra car. I was just going to go park in under the drive-up awing of a close-by church, but Taylor was afraid I would get a ticket. So, we spend a good hour trying to fit three cars into our 2 1/2 car garage. (You do the math.) Eventually, our neighbors who had been watching us, came over and asked if we would like to use their empty garage space for the evening. I guess there is a good life lesson to learn somewhere in this experience--or least a lesson that if you are brave enough to look foolish enough for long enough someone is bound to come by and put you out of your misery. :)
Thankfully, none of the storms hit Tulsa full force and we were safe. Unfortunately, some terrible stories of loss did come out the Oklahoma City area. Our hearts go out to all those affected by these storms.
