Sometimes, for circle time we make collages as a group. They did great. Except all year they asked me if Mickey Mouse starts with A. No, Mickey is an Astronaut.
B is for Beans
C is for cloud and cotton
D is for dog. We did our finger prints for spots.
E is for Elmo. Pretty much all they learned from this one!
F is for Fish
G is for gumball--another group time creation
H is for hand. We painted with our hands this week.
I is for Ice cream. Each child put on a scoop.
J is for Jesus. I timed this to fit at Christmas.
K is for kite. These kites are sun catchers made with contact paper.
L is for lollipop. I did this on a day with only girls and they put jewels and sequins on their lollipops.
M is for mittens. The kids used glitter.
N collage. The kids loved that n is for "Noggin"
O is for Owl. Finger print owls.
P is for popcorn. We made a huge mess, but it was fun!
Q is for quilt.
R is for road
S is for snake. We also did a sun by paint Styrofoam balls yellow and sticking gold, yellow, and orange pipe cleaners in it.
T is for Truck. The kids painted their trucks with pudding for mud.
U is for umbrella. Made the rain using a marble dipped in paint. In the alphabet book I used all year (The Zoo I Drew) U is for Unicorn. The kids loved that.
V is for Veggie Tales.
W is for watermelon.
X is for xray. Another teacher has a real xylophone, so we got to play that too! I guess there is no animal that starts with X because the book we used for letters had a plate of cookies and said the animals took a break to eat a snack. Unfortunately, it took several days to convince some of the kids that cookie doesn't start with X!
Y is for yellow and yarn. We did a lacing project.
Z is for Zebra! Kids colored a zebra and used zebra print tissue paper to wrap their mother's day gifts.
