It was Taylor's turn to pick the Family Home Evening activity.

He picked temporary Tatoos :) Someone saw my tatoo and asked me about it. When I told them it was for a FHE activity, they said (in a nice voice) Oh, what was your lesson about?

Uh, well, hum. The lesson was about "Heavenly Father loves us." That has absolutely nothing to do with a temporary tatoo. At least we are having Family Home Evening, right? Maybe next time we will go back to a board game.

I have new visiting teachers, Janae and Jodi. This is going to be great! I haven't had visiting teachers come in over a year, so I'm excited.

The visit started when I opened the door and there were not two, but six, visiting teachers on the doorstep. I don't have visiting teachers, I have a visiting teaching army! How great is that? So, maybe four of them are age 5 and under, but whose counting ages?

They came in and give me a great lesson about Marriage. Marriage is like a batch of brownies, it takes all the ingredients and tender loving care for it to turn out "sweet." And if we don't give our marriages all the attention they need, it can turn out like an under-cooked, soggy batch of brownies. At this point, they presented an undercooked, soggy batch of brownies and said something like "See, you don't want to turn out like this. Can we use your oven?"

I love that they still brought the brownies, even though they were (non-planned) under done. Isn't that how life really goes?

I thought it was the bestest, funniest, visit ever. But it got better. As they were leaving, Owen decided to start running down the street. On the sidewalk, thank goodness. Well, Jodi is expecting a baby in a few months and didn't feel like running, so I took off after him. After a few seconds I wondered "Why can't I catch this kid? Oh. I'm still holding Kylee." As Owen turned the corner and I finally started gaining ground, Jodi drove up in her van, which if we are being honest, is the only way were were going to catch Owen.

But, this is the first time Jane has ever been to my house, so she was following Jodi, which means Janae also drove up in her van. We finally got Owen in the car and then both vans full of all my wonderful visiting teachers and to turn around to leave. I don't think I'll be forgetting this visit any time soon.

On Wednesday, we had Memphis over for the afternoon. We went to the park with some friends. This is the gang playing "stick checkers."

I thought this was funny. Jacque was swinging with Lily and Sienna decided she wanted a ride, too.

Thank you Jessica and Matt (and David and Melissa). They let us have an older version of the Leapster. Brayden has finally really "discovered" video games. He loves it and I love that he is learning from it. I still plan to hold off on "real" video games as long as possible! (Much to Taylor's dismay.)

Just a typical Kylee. Earlier this week Kylee had a runny nose and Taylor told her to go get a tissue. She ran to the other room like she understood what he had said. She came back with her pink clogs. "Two shoes, two shoes." She was quite disappointed when she realized we didn't have anywhere to go!
