Stake Day

As a preference to this post, I have no idea why the formating is so weird, but I don't have the energy to figure out what is wrong. Also, as a clarification on my last post, I had taken a Benadryl before my mother's day nap. I typically cannot nap for five straight hours.

On Tuesday, Brayden had a Birthday Party at Bounce U. For party favors, they got this cool Paddle Ball game. The party was for Josh, from Brayden's school class.

Brayden with his letter from Ben.

I didn't realize that Kylee was dressed like a Jedi warrior until Taylor came home and pointed it out to me :)

On Friday night, I helped throw a shower for my friend, Jodi. Really, Stephanie did most of the food and had it at her house. I did the invitations. Stephanie got these cool cup cakes from Sam's club. How cute.

The pepper shaker broke this week. I thought
it shattered when I put it on the counter--you know, my super human muscles and all. Anyway, I had made my self an egg salad sandwich this day and used the pepper shaker. As I took a huge bite out of my sandwich, I realized that the pepper shaker must have already been broken when I used it, because I was chewing the pepper shaker. I can now say I have eaten glass. The dumbest part--I still kept eating the sandwich.

We went to Emily Johnston's birthday party on Saturday. Her family rented a bounce house for the back yard. Kylee wasn't too sure about it at first. They also had a magician, which was really fun. Brayden laughed so hard at the magic tricks, that everyone started laughing at him!

Today in Stake conference I was sustained as the Stake Primary President. I felt like this was the kind of day that my mom would take a picture of me, so since she isn't around to do it, I had Taylor do it for her :)

I started a new blog, http://talksandlessons.blogspot.com/ so that I can keep track of all my past references and find the same info again, if I want it. If you would like to read the talk I gave in Stake Conference today (again, mom, this is for you) you can find it there.

The Hawkins had us over for dinner tonight. It was awesome. They are pretty great cooks, if I do say so myself. We then played Settlers of Catan. I feel blessed to count them among our close friends. Here is my favorite picture from the evening:
