Swim lessons

Brayden has hated swim lessons. I have agreed with him. In fact, I've been counting down the days until they are over. This school takes a very "all in" approach as opposed to a "baby steps" approach and it doesn't sit well with Brayden.

Brayden will only get in if he has his goggles.

Practicing with a kick board.

Being dropped from the diving board.

He gets a donut each time he goes off the diving board.
Kylee doesn't mind the bribery, either!

I've been trying to take them swimming as much as possible in our friend's neighborhood pool, just for practice. On Saturday our whole family was able to go with the Binghams. This is Kylee after a shower to clean off!

On the last day of swim lessons, Brayden did great. He didn't cry once and even smiled most of the time. So, I did the unthinkable. I signed him up for two more weeks. Crazy, you say? Yes indeed. However, I felt that we had endured two weeks of torture to only have one day of reward. I am hoping the next two week will lean more towards rewarding. And at the very least, I hope Brayden will have mastered the doggie paddle.

We also send out Brayden's Birthday Party invitations this week. They were printed on a treasure-map image, which I can't get to paste into blogger, so you'll have to use your imagination.
