Oh Snow!

We've had a couple severe storms pass through our area over the last couple of weeks. It really wouldn't be too bad if we lived in a town that knew how to deal with storms. But we don't. The kids have missed the last 9 school days in a row. Including weekends, we've been "snowed in" for the last 13 days. It's like Christmas vacation all over again, except at least during Christmas vacation the mail and garbage are still running. I must say, however, we did not loose power. A fact for which I am daily grateful.

Taylor and Brayden out for the first of many shovelings.

Brayden warming up by the "fire." He He. We really did have the fire running quite a bit!

The view from our upstairs windows. Taylor got on the roof to remove quite a bit of snow.

His efforts sure made a huge mound!

Kylee getting ready to try out the "sledding hill" in the back yard.

The snow doubles as a snow hut and a sledding hill. Brayden was in heaven.

We did venture out a few times. Mom can only handle cabin-fever kids for so long! We went to Bounce U twice, played with friends, went out for ice cream a couple of times, made it to the dollar theater (Mikayla only made it half way through), played in the snow, and of course, watched a bit more TV and played a few more video games than usual.

Once the mail was up and running, we got a fun Valentines package! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Great.

Mikayla was pretty excited to be included. It's fun to watch her grow up a start enjoying things with the older kids.

The kids always love mail.
