My first day

This is me at Meet the Teacher night.  I am the teacher!  I teach preschool at a local church and I have eight children (there were a few changes after this picture, but for the most part these are the names of the kids in my class  I don't have Abbi or Jaden, but I do have Pearce).  The kids will have their pictures where the white squares are and their art projects can be clothes-pinned to their names to dry and to make packing up at the end of the day easier.  These are children three turning four, so it is the year before public school starts.
At the end of the year, the teachers but all their supplies in the "blessings" room, which meant I was given an empty room with access to the items in the blessings room and allowed to design my room myself.  We had to leave one whole wall blank for the Sunday classes that also use these rooms.

I also write all my own lesson plans, with the preschool having an overall theme each week.  The second week of school our theme is "Families" so we will be adding family pictures to our class tree.  Will will use this tree throughout the year.  For example, when the theme is apples we will do an apple craft and hang on the tree and when it's fall, we will add fall leaves, etc.

Love it! I have thought several times that I would like to be a preschool teacher. I had no idea you wanted to do that! So does Mikayla attend a younger class at the same church or something?
